Early work on the renovations for Pinehurst Resort & Country Club’s Member Clubhouse began on Monday with the initial removal of the green awnings that drape the East Veranda. The hope was with the roofline extended, more stunning views of Pinehurst No. 2 – in particular the famed 18th green and the first hole – would be revealed.
Consider Day 1, then, to be a dramatic success.
The removal of the awnings increases natural lighting and reveals the tree line and Carolina blue skies that were previously obscured.
But don’t take our word for it. See it for yourself.
UPDATE (WEDNESDAY, 10:15 A.M.): We’ve added a few more photos since Monday of the continued renovation. Much of the framework for the green awnings is now gone. The views continue to get better and better.

I always try to obtain a seat near the windows when dining or being at the club so I can see the courses, the trees and the beautiful Carolina Blue sky. Now I will have a more impressive view with this update of the green awnings’ removal. Thanks for the progress photos. Can’t wait to see the timely completed renovations/improvements.
