John Maginnes hosts “Maginnes on Tap” live from Pinehurst.
John Maginnes from PGA Tour Radio’s “Maginnes on Tap” hosted his show live from Pinehurst Resort on Tuesday and Wednesday with a view to the starting tee of five different golf courses. If you missed any portion of the show, you can hear both days in their entirety right here, broken into 10-12-minute segments.
Among the guests included the legendary John Derr , acclaimed author Jim Dodson , Pinehurst Resort Director of Grounds and Golf Course Maintenance Bob Farren , Pinehurst Golf Academy Instructor Kelly Mitchum , Pinehurst Resort Executive Vice President Tom Pashley, the PGA Tour’s Darron Stiles and The Spa at Pinehurs t Director Jennifer Reid.
Included in those conversations – in and around the delicious dishes served and described by Pinehurst Executive Chef Theirry Debailleul – are topics such as Pinehurst’s rich history in the game of golf, remarks about the renovations of Pinehurst No. 2 in advance of the back-to-back U.S. Opens, and tales only luminous authors John Derr, at 95, and Jim Dodson could weave.
